This L-Block is designed for receiving and preparing doses of high-energy nuclides. This unit provides convenient access and viewing of the work area and incorporates a large (8" x 4" x 4") lead glass window.
These L-Blocks provide 2" thick lead shielding in front, and 2" thick lead in the base.
They are shipped in modular form for easy installation without lifting equipment. No component weighs more than 50 pounds. After placing the base frame in its location, pre-cut lead sheets are loaded into the horizontal and vertical portions of the steel frame. The window module is mounted, and assembly is completed by securing the window unit and steel end cap with Phillips head screws. Instructions are provided.
The SPECT L-Block Shield for gamma radiation is constructed of .5" thick lead, providing for shielding of lower energy gamma emitters. This lightweight, sturdy shield is ideal for use in hoods, on laboratory benches or any "hot" area where local shielding is needed. This shield provides protection while working with mid to low-energy beta and gamma radioactive materials. The shield is designed to resist tipping and incorporates shielding overlap to eliminate radiation streaming.
A lead glass window (.5”) and a polycarbonate panel are included. This shielding combination attenuates gamma and beta radiation with unimpaired viewing of the work area.
The ICP-MS shield offers the greatest in flexibility of positioning. This smaller unit is perfect for those very small work areas where additional protection is required. These light bench shields can be used for applications such as HPLC and ICP-MS or for temporary storage of syringes or vials. Excellent for remote stations where syringes must be filled or as an additional workstation.
