NMT's Shielded Pigs are designed for the transport of radioactive substances contained in glass vials. We provide various sizes of lead pigs to meet your unique specifications. Our engineering and manufacturing teams work directly with you to deliver the solution that best fits your needs. All of our shielded pigs can be used independently or with our DOT Yellow II Type A packaging systems. We also provide DOT testing and certification for custom solutions.
Our 30 ml shielded pig ( SRX-TWL-0506) provides 1" of lead shielding to accommodate higher PET energies and can accommodate 10/30 ml vials. This shielded pig is provided with a handle and can be used with our DOT Yellow II Type A packaging system.
SRX-PUR-0299
The Type C 20 ml blue shielded pig ( SRX-PUR-0299) provides 1" of lead shielding and can be utilized for cold pack shipping conditions. This shielded pig accommodates 20 ml vials. This lead pig is ideal for higher activity gamma radioactive storage.
SRX-PUR-0065
The Type E 20 ml shielded pig (SRX-PUR-0065) provides .34" of lead shielding and can be utilized for cold or cryogenic shipping conditions.
This shielded pig accommodates 10/20 ml vials. This lead pig can also be sealed with a heat shrink wrap, if required. These pigs are DOT Yellow II Type A certified with our packaging system (cold and normal conditions).
